The news is Nokia is contemplating to make Dual SIM mobile phones like Motorola, Samsung and LG. The talks of Nokia entering the Dual SIM market were public before too, and now the talk is certified by Nokia itself. Nokia has always been popular among users globally until last few years when many other cell phone manufacturers jumped into the competition. There could be many reasons why Nokia is working towards this:
1. Since a few years, which once used to be top brand, Nokia is now loosing its place in the market. So this could be one way to re-establish its lost demand.
2. A lot of other mobile phone manufacturers have already applied Dual SIM function in their mobile phone units, so Nokia may just want to try to be parallel with those brands.

The advantage with dual SIM is that it saves good amount of money. A lot of us have to keep two mobile phone numbers for various reasons. And for two different numbers one require two different cell phone handsets. But with Nokia Dual SIM function in the phone, the cost of keeping another mobile phone gets saved. In just one handset, one could use two numbers. The Dual SIM phones have been accepted well in the Asian cell phone market. And Samsung is one of the ace cell phone manufacturers. Nokia will have to employ new and smart schemes to win over Samsung users and get itself consumers.
