We just had new carpeting and flooring installed throughout
our home. I needed a small, lightweight stick vacuum for
the hard floors, as I have a powerful standard upright for
the carpeting. I was really “on-the-fence” about purchasing
this Hoover Linx vacuum because of some of the
unfavorable reviews I had read, i.e. battery constantly needs
recharging, short run time, poor suction, etc.. I went to
the Hoover website and was impressed with the 6-year warranty
on this vacuum and 2-year warranty on the lithium battery and
charger. Also, Hoover’s brand reputation long withstanding.
I’ve owned Hoover products and have never had problems with
them other than needing to get rid of them due to the age of
the equipment. They exceeded their usual lifespan by many
years. The quick broom that I just got rid of was 35 years old!
It still worked, but the bags were discontinued.

Customer reviews to me are just opinions, and while I do think
they can be very helpful, sometimes I think many of the problems
reported are simply a matter of not reading the manual or not
using the equipment for what it was intended. So, with this in
mind, I took a chance and purchased it from Amazon, who had the
best price on the internet or of any local big box store.

Amazon.com delivered in two days (love it!), and Hoover Linx took only a few
minutes to read the manual and set the battery to charge.
It says that the battery takes approx. 3 hours to charge, but
I’ve found that it’s much quicker than that; usually 1-1/2 to
2 hours. When the battery was charged, I immediately vacuumed
our hard floors – large eat-in kitchen, laundry room, foyer,
and bathrooms and still had battery power left. It was amazing
what the “wind tunnel” dirt cup picked up. It’s very easy to
empty, no bags to buy or mess with. I popped the battery back
on the charger so it’s always ready to go, and when it shows
fully charged, I put it on the vacuum. Very easy. The suction
is excellent. It even picks up tiny crumbs or pieces of lint
right up against the baseboards. I especially like that the
brush roller is able to be turned on and off; off for hard floors
and on for carpets. I turned the brush rollers on for some area
rugs and it did a great job on them too. I wouldn’t hesitate to
use this stick vacuum for a quick carpet touch up, but I would
definitely not use this as the primary vacuum for carpeting.
It’s not meant for that. I also like how easily this vacuum
maneuvers so you can get close to furniture legs, cabinets, etc..

I’ve had Hoover Linx vacuum for almost three weeks now and I honestly
can’t say one negative thing about it. I’m so glad I bought it.
It’s very attractive, easy to use (no cords), powerful suction,
well-designed, lightweight, good warranty, and Hoover quality.
What more could you ask for?
