The Apple Iphone is mainly intended for the mobile phone customer – and includes plenty of additional items making it one of the most desired handsets in store. Limited to the o2 operator in the UK, the majority are sold on pay monthly plans, but it is similarly available on a top up model for around £500.00.
The phone is based on a touch sensitive screen input device, with the great majority of operations actioned by by pressing and sliding across the screen. Interestingly, it will show in excess of a 250,000 colours. The touch display is more impressive than many current handsets in that it is multi touch sensitive, so you can tap one or more locations and not confusing the handset as with some equivelants.
The current iPhone model, the 3G S features integrated G.P.S. functionality, an upgrade over earlier triangulating algorithms used by previous IPhone phones. In addition, the Iphone 3G-S will act as a sat-nav device in addition to its mobile operation.

That is just the start though – as you would imagine, it’s also an iPod – an extremely popular MP3 player facility. Comprising huge 16 gigabyte or thirty two gigabyte storage (depending on model you purchase), the handset is able to hold massive amounts of music tracks, downloaded podcasts, dvds and tv shows.
The I-Phone gets its content from the iTunes online store – the iphone’s proprietry content system which obtains and copies music and films to ipods and iPhone devices encrypted by iPhone’s bespoke format. In the face of criticism from fans of open source and anti digital rights management (DRM) organisations, the iphone has been undeniably successful with their support between iTunes and iPods and iTunes and their handset.
Connecting to the Apple Store, users can utilise the connectivity offered by the iPhone’s internet connection connection, or wifi if they have a nearby connection at the moment.
Obviously the mobile phone service has taken a step further in being the all in one portable entertainment centre by combining mobile phone with music, movies, gaming and applications.
