The phone has become one of the most used items in the world and has enabled the human race to leap forward in many ays.
History
Well the phone actually originated way back in 1844 not with Alexander Bell as many people first think. The idea had actually been circulating for quite some time and although the technology wasn’t quite ready yet it was certainly something that had been thought about.
It was patented by Antonio Meucci in 1871 but after two years of renewing the patent he could not come up with the funds to renew it once more which of course than allowed Bell to come in and scoop up the patent for electromagnetic telephones using undulating currents. Bell actually applied for the patent in 1876 and it was this year that saw the very first successful test of the phone which is why Bell is often credited as the true inventor.
The very early phones were pretty diverse if I am being honest with you. Many of these phones were using liquid transmitters and others of course had the traidional metal diaphragms that had a current in an electromagnet wound around another magnet. The ones that actually made it through to the 20th century were the ones with the vibrating diaphragm as they really seemed to work very well.
Of course now the phone is used everywhere across the world every single day by thousands if not millions of people and many businesses would simply not be in place if it wasn’t for the phone. It certainly would not be possible to use the internet without the invention of the phone and this is something many more people use.
The phone in the business has helped enormously too with the invention of fax to email, 0871 numbers and of course iPhone insurance.
without the important invention of the phone there is no way we would be like we all are today.
